Salvo Soccer Club’s acceptance into the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy will provide female soccer players across the extended Twin Cities Metro area the opportunity to participate in U.S. Soccer’s top league and development platform in the Country.  For Salvo SC, acceptance into the U.S. Soccer Development Academy provides validation that the Club has put in place the proper facilities, staff, and development curriculum which extends from Salvo SC’s Nationally recognized 5 Star Recreation Award-winning Community Soccer programming up through the highest levels of play at the Senior Amateur level.

Salvo SC’s acceptance in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy comes just one week following Salvo SC’s acceptance into the WPSL, the largest women’s soccer league in the world. As a result of being invited to join these two leagues, and in combination with Salvo SC’s existing league participation, Salvo SC now provides a soccer home for players ranging in age from 4-45+ at all levels of play, including the highest level of development, training, and league play in the Country.

Have the fees been set yet? What will be the difference between the DA and High Performance?

Fees have not been set.  All fees will be set by June 1.  If we can release fees sooner we will.  We are currently working through our annual budgeting process.

Is this the same program as on the Boys side? When will our club get the Boys' Development Academy?

This is the same program currently offered on the boys side.

Beginning in 2019-2020 there will be 2 Boys' DA programs in our state, MNUFC and Shattuck.  We have expressed our interest in having the Boys' DA and have had discussions with US Soccer.  We will not have the Boys' DA in 2019-2020.  We will apply for the opportunity for 2020-2021.
